I dont but im wondering if you can shorten the length of the gnome-panel at the top, so that it looks like the gray part that the panels are in is overlapping it to give it even more of a pop out/depth effect, i dont know if it can be done but it would be cool.

For example everything that isnt the panels is contained within the blue background and the gray is like exclusively for the panels.

its probably impossible but if it isnt it would look quite interesting! :O

I really would love to see if that could be done it would go well with the idea of separating the backgrounds thats you had and give it more depth! :D
