Be::Shell Flat Grey Tunes by mmesantos1 Be::Shell Flat Grey Tunes by mmesantos1
Ok so made some changes to my last setup. This time going with darker flat grey look through out the whole theme. Also no more floating panel at top. Changed the sensor images to match the rest of the theme as well and of course had to match Bespin also. :-)

I liked the scheme of colours with that touch of red in the center.

Well Bob, I can tell you that you will love how stable it is, BE::Shell has been running great for me, I even pulled down the latest version and installed over the old install and it runs great. I have had no issues except a small visual one, I sent a message to the maintainer on his Wiki page for BE::Shell and he answered the same day and also created the fix and uploaded it that same day, I was able to pull down the new version and compile it and then install and no more issue with the theme, it was a small issue but he treated it like a show stopper, it was a great experience and because of that I will continue to use BE::shell. :-) Sorry for the long reply Bob but also thank you for the kind words on my screenshot as well. :-)

If you want to check out the Wiki page here is the URL: [link]

Just in case you decide you are ready to try it out, would love to see what you do with it. :-)

thanks Marc! :-) I have installed Kubuntu 12.04, is it complicated to compile and install BE:shell?

Your most welcome Bob. Well one thing I can say is the dependencies you need to install can be a pain since there is no list of what they are. Once I figure out what all of them are for Kubuntu I will write up a how to, but last time I installed it I had to use trial and error so I did not think to make a list. If you would like I could re-install my Kubuntu and make up one while I compile and install BE::Shell, let me know. :-)

thanks Marc :-) , I have installed elementaryOS along side of kubuntu, going to use it as a daily driver for testing for a while, and the kubuntu for customizing :-)

You are doing some great work Hombre, I have downloaded a few of your themes and you have done some awesome work. I have been learning some things by looking at your config files in your themes. I hope to make some themes as good as yours for BE::Shell. :-)

Nice Marc... but why do you use a preview monitor for screenshots? :(
I really like unscaled screenshots to see all details.

Sure the presentation is nice... but your screenshot lost all details. So I see your presentation monitor and a nice background but not your desktop. What you want to show me? The monitor or your desktop?

any space between the panel and screen edge is space
you can't use to anything else then 'decoration' anyways
so I just think it's plain stupid, even if looks good :)
