That is strange, will need to look into that as I did not have any video issue's with any video player I used. I will have to try it with that video player as I do not normally use it. Thank you for the heads up.

It looks great man. So great that I installed ubuntu on my windows comp but now I am wondering what this be::shell is. I googled and information was not enough for me. So I am requesting u to give me a step by step instruction of how to get this theme.[link]

Hello,
I am glad you decided to install Linux and more happy that my setup was the inspiration that made you install Linux. That being said I would like to explain that I am still new to BE::Shell my self. I will give the resources I used to get it setup. As per the notes this setup requires Bespin which is a KDE style for KDE, which I did make up a how to for compiling and installing the Bespin theme. As for BE::Shell it is a Shell for KDE that replaces the Plasma shell that comes with KDE by default. The how to for that I used was from the BE::Shell wiki which you will no doubt need to frequent to obtain most information to compile and install BE::Shell. The creator of the shell is Thomas and he is someone I asked many questions to for help to get this installed. I am including the links for my How to for Bespin and the how to made by Thomas for BE::Shell. Please keep in mind if you are new to Linux this will require you to do some reading and some patience as I normally would not suggest someone new to Linux to use this DE for there first install since there is much about Linux you will need to learn before trying this. Here are the reasources to help you once you are ready to try out this setup. Also the download for the theme has a helpful readme file included as well.

Bespin How To: [link]

BE::Shell How To: [link]

BE::SHell Help Desk: [link]

Another note since you are new to Linux would be to get familiar with using the terminal as you will be using it a good deal for this process.

Terminal How To's: [link]

My personal suggestion to you since you are brand new to Linux would be to use the normal install of Kubuntu to get familiar with it. YOu stated you installed Ubuntu which would not be the same as Kubuntu, BE::Shell requires KDE to be installed and the regular Ubuntu does not use that Desktop Environment, it used Unity as it's default Desktop Environment. Well I hope this information helps you with getting your Linux install setup the way you want. :-)

Don't take it as a problem, but sometimes BE::Shell themes
bring problems on other resolutions.
That's not your fault, but is how the shell is made,
and most propably the cause is css (which is good since
it leaves great possibilities to be customized).

To be honest that's the good of the project: you don't simply
install stuff without understanding how it works.
Sometimes you're forced to learn. A good approach IMO,
since i've learnt new stuff while trying to adapt themes & configs
made by others ;)

I'm sure people will love this theme :)

Well It just takes some getting used to I guess but still like BE::Shell. I have learned a good deal using it and do like how much control you have over how your desktop looks. :-)

Indeed ;)

That's what i like of it too!
The KISS philosophy it's not to bad,
if it leads to a deeper knowledge of your desktop :)

My only concern is the themes I have made will not work on the newer version of BE::Shell, I updated BE::Shell today and the theme I just released does not work in it. So for someone wanting to use it they will have to be using the version I was running during the time I made the theme. :-)

P.p.s. Another "raw solution" is to delete
shadow-radius & shadow-padding lines for #TopPanel.
Sorry for all the mess i did (3 messages), feel free to delete them.
Now (without shadow-radius and shadow padding) it looks like this: [link]

Hope this is useful for you :)

Are you referring to the shadow-padding ?
I fixed it for the sensor panels (which were doing the same thing)
by giving a negative value.
For TopPanel i'm still trying,
no negative or positive values fixed it.
Anyway by assign a value of 0 to ShadowOpacity
in the conf. file, you can disable shadows (a "rude fix" hehe).
Other thing: in [volume] change step=2
into step=2% in order to make it works with the mouse wheel :)

P.s. In the css i noticed you missed the 0 for borders, i assume it's 0.5px ;)
